The gooseneck ball also offers a greater swivel radius than standard fifth wheel hitches, helping reduce stress on the trailer’s king pin and cutting down on chucking during travel.
A good tow starts with the right geometry between truck and trailer. This hitch gives you three height settings—18", 16-7/8", and 15-3/4" measured from the top of the rails to the top of the ball mount—so you can set your trailer level and maintain proper bed rail clearance. The offset ball can be positioned closer to either the cab or rear axle depending on your clearance needs, giving you flexibility whether you want smoother weight distribution or more turning room.

Love the Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch. I have recommended it to everyone who has asked about it, and where to get it! Would highly recommend Anderson products. It eliminated all but 40lbs of hitch weight in it self. Tows great.
It looks like a very good product BUT unfortunately did not work for my Fifth wheeler and truck combination. I am referring to the Anderson fifth wheeler hitch. I notified etrailer.com about returning this item. So I am still waiting for the slip to return this Anderson Hitch product part number: AM3200.
Other than that etrailer.com customer service were very helpful and friendly.
My Dexter drum and hub assembly fit and work exactly as expected.
This has been an excellant choice for my Winnebago fifth wheel rv and Ram 2500 combination. Towing is both quiet and smooth with no chucking at all. I can see the ball and anderson socket while hooking up making the process very easy on first try every time. I would recommend this product to anyone within the proper weight range.
The Ultimate Hitch made a world of difference in towing my 5th wheel, very smooth compared to traditional hitch. Towed with a 2004 Dodge short bed, 5th wheel never came close to truck cab when turning or backing up. For me the best part was the ease (light weight ) of installing and removing from the bed of truck by myself. I bought the rail mounted steel hitch. Buying and customer service from Etrailer is top notch beyond 5 Stars!
After opening the box and removed the contents the lower bracket which the hitch is secured to isn't provided. Must I order it separately?let me know as I need to have it installed. Thanks
I’m very happy with this hitch. It exceeded all expectations. I no longer have the pushing and clattering of the traditional fifth wheel hitch. This hitch is also light enough where I can lift it out and carry it with one hand so I have my truck bed back. I’d highly recommend this Andersen hitch.
Couldn’t be happier with this hitch. I was looking for a better quality slider to replace my old model and looking at spending a lot more when I found this Andersen hitch. Stands up to our 39 foot Jayco, no worries about having to remember to slide it before backing up. Rides so much quieter and, when I want to remove it, I can easily do it myself! The plastic piece broke when a dealer dried to lift the trailer with a backhoe (long story) Andersen replaced it without batting an eye! Pulling with a 2019 F350 crew can short box. Oh and trailer.com was super easy to deal with as an added bonus!
I bought the Andersen because of problems I was having with a Reese Slider. Most of the time the slider wouldn't unlock and slide back. The Andersen gave me the necessary clearance between the cab and the front cap on the trailer to make sharp turns. Another benefit of the Andersen is the reduction of noise when starting and stopping. The only down side to the hitch is I have a hard time getting it lined up when hitching.
Couldn't have been more happier changing from a conventional hitch to the Andersen.
I pulled a 41' Solitude 374TH with it and never had an issue. Loved having my bed back while stationary, unlike having to keep a conventional hitch in or struggle with two people getting it out.
Hooking up was a breeze too. I just used my mark as usual and after a time or two was dropping down on the ball on the first try. Easy peezzzeee.

I really like the Anderson Hitch. The Hitch is only 40 lbs, so it easy to install and remove so that I can use the bed of my truck when not towing. It was a little tight to install in my rails so I had to do a small amount of grinding to get it to fit. I also purchased the safety chains and one of the hooks was also tight and needed some grinding.
The hitch is really easy to use and towing has been smooth.
Very pleased with the Andersen hitch. Easy to install or remove, light weight and strong. So much more simple and faster to setup than my previous hitch. I can have full use of my truck bed in just a couple of minutes. I also feel the front jacks on the trailer will last longer since I am not stressing them by forcing the kingpin into the hitch as I had to do with my old hitch. The only negative I can find is the ball funnel. When raising the trailer off the ball it is important to chock the truck and trailer. If not chocked the truck can roll foward and break the lip off the ball funnel. Otherwise, in my opinion, this is the best 5th wheel hitch out there.
It was a great buy and can move easily from truck to truck with goose neck hitches!!

Great buy, easy in easy out.
I spent the last year pulling our Montana High Country around the U.S. with this Anderson hitch. I have to admit, at first I was leery of this simple hitch handling a 16,000# 5th wheel, however it has done its job very well. Even on a bad section of road (Hwy. 145 near Ridgway CO) where I swear we became airborne on one of the dips in the road, but the hitch handled the rig just fine. The hitch takes me less than 5 minuets to put in and take out of the truck bed and is light enough to move and store in the front bay of the 5th wheel. The only down side is the need for a 5th wheel tripod stabilizer that will fit in the Anderson King pin adapter, hopefully it is coming soon.
Very good product. Easy, clean installation and removal.
Only problem is when unhooking my trailer. The trailer does not come off the ball easily. It removes a shaving of metal off the ball each time I unhook. I suspect I will have to replace the ball at some time.

I purchased the new nylon coupling guide. It works very well and metal no longer is shaved off upon removal.
The Anderson Hitch is a great replacement for my former sliding hitch. With the pin adaptor turned forward I can still turn about 85 degrees. Good product!

I like and trust my Anderson hitch so much I was able to convince my Son in Law and Daughter to purchase one for their toy hauler also.
The Anderson 5th wheel hitch has lived up to name. Lightweight and easy to install. We traveled 10,000 miles with out a problem.

Great, easy to install, smooth transitions from stop to start
This hitch is perfect. No noise, no play at all. Very easy to hook up. Piece for bed of pickup is light. Can not believe it is rated 20,000 lbs. Love it! Did not buy any other 20k hitch due to weight and cost. Storage in garage is so easy--hang it on the wall.

This is an excellent hitch. The base is light and easy to remove and store. We needed a 20k hitch and this seem like the best. There is not movement when towing, no noise, chucking, etc.
Love this hitch! Bought the Andersen because I wanted to be able to remove hitch easily and be able use the truck bed. It takes only a few minutes to remove from bed no tools required.
I installed the bed rail kit myself in my 2019 Ram 2500 short bed. The Andersen hitch allows my 32' fifth wheel 90 degrees turning radius.

Excellent hitch! Working great towing 10k fifth wheel.
They advertise you can be within 3” of hitch and still connect I found that you need to be almost perfect. And to latch and unlatch there can’t be any pressure going up or weight going down, you have about a 1/4” to play with. I found it to be rougher when pulling than a normal fifth wheel hitch. It is very light though.
Just received my anderson goosneck 5th wheel hitch and installed right away. Material is made of superior craftsmanship and will be looking forward to not lifting my heavy husky anymore. 5 star all the way

Never wanted 5th wheel because of losing truck bed space with regular hitch. This is great, pulls like a dream, light weight, removes quick for storage-40lbs., 2018 Bighorn 35’ 5th.

Have on my 5th wheel and I also have air ride on my TV. When hooking up I
Let all the air pressure off my air ride system and off the hitch. Before I disconnect (raise the trailer) I put on a ratchet strap to hold the hitch from dropping down, It sounds like a lot of work but it will have. To do till I come up with a better plan. I would not go back to my other hitch, you have to excuse the pics hard to pick
After receiving the kit i saw another one on the shelf at a local store. I noticed the one on the shelf had a steel ball cup mounted to it. Mine did not have that part. I called andersen and asked if the ball cup was available for purchase seperately. They told me no need to purchase bevause they will ship me one for free! Later on, i towed my trailer to a camp site and upon arrival i could not get the release pin to open to drop the trailer while we stayed in it. I called andersen and described the problem i had, they shipped a whole new block and cable assembly for free!! I am ver pleased with the product and also impressed with the level of customer service!

We have the Anderson Hitch installed on our 2017 Ford SuperDuty and pull a Reflection 337RLS. We have traveled over 4,000 miles and have been extremely satisfied. The hitch allows plenty of clearance between 5th wheel, bed, and the truck cab. Hook-up and disconnect has always been easy, even with RV lots that were uneven dirt lots. I use Curt thin rubber sound dampeners (item 16900) and this provides a quiet, tight fit between the rails and hitch. Of course the light weight makes it easy to remove when not towing and less weight when you are towing. A great product for the right truck, trailer combination.
